Printing Technology

Flexographic Printing

Flexographic technology is used to produce the following types of labels:

  • self-adhesive labels (in rolls or separate)
  • shrink sleeves
  • labels with perforation
  • labels for additional printing of information (thermo-transfer labels, thermo-labels)
  • cardboard labels
  • lacquered and laminated labels
  • holographic labels
  • security labels
  • labels for ink-jet and laser printers and copy machines
  • etc.

In addition to label production, Flexographic printing is used to manufacture tags (for instance, for fruit, clothing, tea), lids (cardboard, aluminium), flexible packaging and shrink packaging.

Technical Means

The Company has 7 Flexographic rotation machines (printing width: 240 and 340 mm) capable of printing up to 8 colours.

The Company uses exclusively NILPETER Flexographic printing machines.

All completion work is executed on ROTOFLEX machines.

Our technological equipment allows perfect printing, lacquering, lamination, layering of material, cold and thermal imprinting, numbering, cutting out of face and structural materials, printing in glue, neutralisation of glue, partial application of glue, etc. A screen-printing unit is also available.

Rotation Screen Printing

This important component of Flexographic printing is used on three machines that can be connected to a UV screen printing unit suitable above all for applying:

  • thick layers of paint – relief effect (letters, characters, blind embossing)
  • lacquer layers in selected parts of label – gloss effect (emphasizing and drawing attention)
  • thick layers of white covering paint on transparent foil
  • metallic paints (instead of metallic imprinting)
  • fluorescent paint (visible in the dark)
  • covering layers in selected parts of label that can be scratched off – lottery tickets or competition cards (it is possible to use a special database generating winning combinations of numbers, codes, images, etc. in the course of printing; such labels can be used, for instance, for consumer competitions with instant response)
  • thermo-chromic paints changing their shade in accordance with temperature (colours may, for instance, become transparent and reveal certain data or indicate the right product utilisation temperature).

When printing competition labels, it is possible to combine the respective advantages of Flexographic print and digital print.

Offset Printing

Martin Peroutka Co. specialises in rotation printing.

Apart from standard forms, it concentrates on manufacturing the following products:

  • carbon copy forms with guiding perforation used for computer printers
  • separate carbon copy multi-sheet files of the Snap-Out type
  • discreet envelopes for hidden printing of additional data
  • blocks and sheets with the possibility of numbering

Technical Means

The Company uses the 5-colour EDELMANN rotation machines for offset printing.

It uses collators, gatherers and numbering devices for finishing purposes.

Our technological equipment allows perfect printing, guiding perforation and other dividing and folding perforations, gluing, numbering, gathering, joining of layer by crimplock or tapleflex and cut-outs.

Digital Printing

  • Production of small volumes of self-adhesive labels in professional quality and at a low price. We guarantee the same cut-out quality as in the case of large rotation printers, i.e. rounded edges, various cut-out shapes, cutting faces preventing removal, etc.
  • Digitally printed labels may be supplied in rolls or sheets. If supplied in rolls, they can be used for both manual and mechanical labelling. Sheet labels are slightly less expensive.
  • Additional treatment (lacquering, lamination, lacquering + polishing) of labels after printing is possible.
  • Thanks to our Variety program, we are able to print a wide range of bar codes and other groups of variable data. UCC-, EAN- and UPC-type bar codes, ISBN numbers are coded as EAN-13 symbols with computed end character (the last digit having controlling function), ITF, codes generated by algorithm 128, code 39 and special CODABAR, PLESSEY, MISI or CODE 93 codes. The end digits used for controlling purposes are generated automatically (they do not form a part of continual numerical series).
  • Our offer of free graphic design also extends to digitally printed products.

Technical Means

To produce and print labels, we use the XEIKON digital colour machines allowing one-side printing by powder caking toners. They also allow lacquering, lacquering + polishing, lamination, cut-outs, sheeting, etc. They are designed for variable data printing.
